How to Choose A Great Pair of High Heeled Shoes That Won’t Break Your Pocketbook Or Your Neck!

Filed under: High Heels — Admin @ 2:48 am

Ah, the high heeled shoe. These are the ones that help keep podiatrists in business with a steady flow of patients. Medically speaking, these types of shoes are the absolute haze him worst for the health of the foot haze him due to the way that they put so much pressure on the front of the foot and put the toes in a totally unnatural position. Still, many women wear them because they make butterloads them feel sexy and they look very stylish. Like butterloads many other women’s shoes these also come in a wide variety of styles, shapes, and colors. There are some made a little more stable that can be worn for work college rules such as the block or wedge and then you have the high fashion ones for college rules a night out like the stiletto or blades.

There is a long standing debate over how high a heel must be to be considered a high heeled shoe. The normal standard for the average high heeled shoe is two to three inches which gives some height but at the same time can still be worn somewhat comfortably. Heels over four inches are the extreme and are usually reserved for entertainers or professional dancers, if you know what I mean.

Before investing in a pair of high heeled shoes you should first figure out why you want them and in what environment you will be wearing them. For some women the reason is to project an illusion of being taller. Another reason may be just for the sexy look that the shoes give by having the calf muscle in a semi flexed position. They also create a more sexy walk by shifting the body in a way that accentuates your bottom and a bit of a sway in the hips. The tall stiletto heels are thought of by men and women alike to be a huge turn on sexually.

Many women today own several pairs of these types of shoes mixing some for business and some for pleasure. The popularity of the high heel shoe has gone up and down over the past few decades losing ground in the 60’s and 70’s but coming back strong for the next two decades. Recently the trend has been back towards lower heels or even flats. In the post war era of the late forties through the fifties stilettos were hot just as they are now. Just remember you have to be able to walk in them, buy a pair of lower heels for work and reserve the stilettos for that night on the town when you want to exude sexiness.

High Heeled Shoes - 10 Confidence Boosters On Wearing High Heels

Filed under: High Heels — Admin @ 7:30 pm

10 Tips on Heelz

Worried about walking in high heels? Try these confidence boosters.

1. Don’t be afraid of platforms. They give added height, security, and extra stability. Find a classy platform with a wide heel to keep a jazzy look. Find a platform with a slim heel and a rise no more than .5 inches to keep business/dressy look.

2. Wear wedges. Wedges also give the same height, with more security than a platform. The wedge restricts movement of the heel, decreasing the chances of sudden heel shifting and mobility. Try a non cloth, mule wedge with slim straps to keep a business/professional look.

3. Practice! Yes, believe it or not, this really works! Try walking around on carpet in your heels for a few days before wearing them in public. Just do the things that you would normally do, dishes, cleaning, take out the trash, go to the mailbox or simply walking around your living room. Stairs are great if you have them. This help you to familiarize yourself with the shoes, the intricacies, and movements of the heels, so that when you do go into public, you know what to expect.

4. If your shoes have a smooth bottom, scuff the heels first. This will reduce the chances of you slipping.

5. Buy shoes that have ‘no slip grip’ on the bottom. This will also reduce your chances of slipping, possibly increasing your confidence level.

6. Start with a low heel and work your way up. Start with a 2.5 inch heel. Walk in them consistently for an hour each day. This will help to build your calf muscles, which is the primary muscle working when you wear heels. After 2 weeks, move to a 3 inch heel, practicing the same. Then move to a 3.5 inch heel, practicing the same. Then move to a 4 inch heel. Before you know it, you will be a high heel shoe diva!

7. Make sure the shoes fit comfortably!!! This is absolutely key. Now seriously, don’t try to get a pair of shoes, a half size too small and make them fit. This is not healthy, for you feet, legs, back, or shoulders. Ensuring the your shoes fit helps the aforementioned keep properly aligned. Furthermore, ensure that your shoulders, back, and posture stay straight up and erect. Walk with the confidence God gave you. Know that you are beautiful and each day is God’s way of showing you love and mercy. Be thankful, know that He loves your and you are His, show it in your posture. Walking slumped over is not good, high heels or flats, so straighten up ladies and walk with confidence!

8. Wear cushions. Dr. School’s makes great inserts for ladies shoes. I favor the gel inserts for the balls of the foot. They are clear, therefore unnoticeable, and extremely comfy. They reduce the shock to the balls of your feet and lower back.

9. Hide the height………There are shoes made with hidden platforms and rises at the ball of the foot to decrease arch stretch. These are cool and comfortable fake outs.

10. Take care of your feet. Get pedicures regularly. I have learned my lesson! It is not just about making your feet look pretty, but about making them feel good. Good pedicures allow the legs and feet to be massaged, increasing circulation, critical for good foot health. Dead skin and hard spots should also be removed, leaving you with soft, supple feet, ready for walking.

Nylon Stocking for High Heels

Filed under: High Heels — Admin @ 7:45 am

Whenever the woman decides to wear a skirt to go out, one thing that the person must never leave home without is a pair of nylon stockings. This will make the shoes more comfortable to walk on and keep the legs arm should the weather get cold.

This is very ideal for those who are wearing flats and can also be used by those who decide to use high heels. This makes the woman look slimmer and taller when walking around and meeting people.

A good example is the knee-high fishnet nylon stocking by Spanx. This is available in nude, black and chocolate. One pair costs $14.95 and the person doesn’t have to worry about the fit since it is free size.

Hi Knee is another brand that is similar quality to Spanx. The individual can also get knee high nylon stockings for the same price.

The two brands mentioned are just a few of those that are sold locally or abroad. If the customer doesn’t have a particular brand in mind, there will be some things that could overwhelm the individual.

First, there may be some that are cheaper or more expensive depending on the type of fabric used.

Second, some of these brands carry this in small, medium, large and extra large. This means the person will need someone to measure the hips to make sure it will fit properly when it is worn.

There are also other colors aside from the two brands mentioned such as red, blue and burgundy. The individual should look at the outfit on top first then work the way down to the shoes.

When the woman knows what type of nylon stockings are ideal when wearing high heels, the individual will just have to decide whether to make an order online or choose from the different brands on the department store shelf.

There are also nylon stockings available that are either below the knee or a little above the ankle. Women who decide to wear high heels will look silly wearing the anklet type so it is best to choose something longer that will go with the skirt.

The demand for nylon stockings will always be there as long as people prefer to wear skirts with high heels. This may be something minor when looking at a person from a distance but this plays a part in showing one’s individuality all the way from head to toe.

High Heels Give Low Hope For Foot Health

Filed under: High Heels — Admin @ 11:29 am

Are you addicted to heels? Do you love the way your legs look when you wear them? Could you not live without them?

Ok, would you like to spend one quarter of your life in your glamorous heels and one half of it in agony with really ugly feet? That’s what you could potentially cause to happen if you rely on your high heels on a daily basis during your most active, on-your-feet years.

High heels displace the weight of your body onto the ball of your foot. Over time, feet can develop calluses, unsightly bunions and corns. With those kinds of feet, you’d better hope that Manolo Blahnik starts designing slippers!

High heels also direct the centre mass of your body forward and your spine has to bend backwards to compensate. “Oh my aching back” will be your daily mantra.

Calf muscles shorten and tighten when you wear high heels and if you wear them constantly for a long time, say more than six months, your calf muscles can remain permanently shortened. Your body will naturally try to compensate by lowering the arches of your feet or your knees, hips or back will be painfully affected.

How to enjoy your high heels but not do long-term damage

1. Wear shoes with heels no higher than 4cm for day-to-day wear.

2. Save your sexy high heels for special occasions.

3. Avoid wearing backless shoes too frequently as they make you claw your toes when you walk.

4. Stretch your calf muscles at regular intervals.

5. Alternate your shoes over a long day of standing. Keep a second pair at work so that you can switch heights during the day and give your calf muscles a chance to adapt.

6. Never walk long distances or over uneven ground such as pavements when wearing high heels.

7. High heels that feature a strap or lace across the instep are more beneficial than slip-ons as they help to stop your foot from sliding forwards.

8. See your podiatrist or chiropodist once a year for checkups on your foot health.

Men In High Heels

Filed under: High Heels — Admin @ 9:05 pm

While the idea of men in high heels makes most of us cringe or even laugh right aloud, high heels for men are actually in! While most men don’t wear high heels that are made for women, more and more men’s shoes are being made with a heel, and technically they are high heels! While some men may choose to wear high heels that are made for women, the majority of men don’t, but they are still indulging in the high-heeled look that has been appealing to women for years! Men in high heels may be something that makes most of us gasp, but it is becoming more and more common, just look at the feet of the men in your life!

Men in high heels are becoming more common because shoes are becoming important now, even for men. Your average, every day Joe now cares what his shoes look like so much that he will go to a special store and drop more money than he did on his Nike Jordan’s in the 1980s. Shoes are in for men, because most men are learning that shoes are part of the overall look, something women have known for years. Style is becoming more and more important, and shoes are a big part of style now, even for men so the high heel rules for both men and women right now.

Because there is this new awareness on the part of men about their shoes, men in high heels simply seem natural. Therefore, they are not stilettos but they are higher heels then men have been wearing in recent history. Dress shoes with a thicker heal, men’s shoes with a thicker sole, boots with higher heels and soles, as well as casual boots with a substantial heel are all very popular in men’s shoes right now. Of course, these men’s high heels don’t look feminine at all and because the look is so popular most men don’t even notice that the hell is higher than they have been in their shoes in the past. What men do know about these high heels is that they look good with all of their clothes.

We’re seeing men in high heels everywhere! Men are wearing these newer high-heeled shoes to the clubs, to work, casually on their days off of work, even to church. The style right now is just the high heel and the chunky sole, so these shoes can be seen just about everywhere that you can think of. The reason that they are being seen so often is that the high-heeled look is very versatile so that men can wear them with business attire, business causal attire, and even casual wear so it does not seem to matter what he is wearing, a man can wear his high-heeled shoes.

This men in high heels phase has been growing over the last several years, but the fashion trend seems to have peaked and is very popular right now. Even the most traditional men are finding these higher heels very sharp looking, so you’ll see men in just about every age group taking part in this fashion. It doesn’t seem to matter how old or young a man is or what he does for a living, he’ll buy the shoes that look good. Many men also feel as though the higher heels are very comfortable, so much so that they wouldn’t go back to the lower heels if they were given the chance. The chunkier sole often gives more cushion, especially in the better-made shoes.

Women’s Shoes are Driving me Crazy!

Filed under: High Heels — Admin @ 10:45 am

Women often say that you can tell what the man is like by the shoes he wears, but what about women? As women the world over change their shoes almost as often as they do their underwear, it’s virtually impossible to know who is in the heels. Because many ladies are dedicated followers of vogue they tend to wear what the fashion industry dictates rather than what they really feel comfortable and secure in. Men, on the other hand, tend to be more practical and opt for such attributes as quality, comfort, and support in a shoe.

But there are those that say it’s still very possible to know the woman behind the shoes and that it just takes a little more practice to read than it does with men. Some of you will remember the movie staring Tom Hanks called Forest Gump. There’s once scene where he says “Mama always said you could tell an awful lot about a person by the kind of shoes they wear.”

I’m not going to write in detail here about reading a lady’s personality by her shoes, but just as a taster many women have multiple shoe personalities although the favorite is usually is a high heel, and it’s this style which indicates strength, status and sex appeal.

Why Are Shoes So Important To Women? Now there’s a good question, but I think you would be better off asking a woman as she is more qualified to answer. Don’t expect a logical response though, as when I asked the same question to my wife (who has 16 pairs of shoes at the time of writing), she went on the defensive and said it was a daft question and not worthy of a reply!

In the Philippines, shortly after the Marcos regime was overthrown in 1986, opposition forces found Imelda Marcos had one thousand and sixty pairs of quality designer shoes in her personal collection at the presidential palace. I tell you something now, if we had the space in our house, and money was no object, my wife would have a collection to compete with Imelda’s, which would be closely followed by branded handbags. Don’t you just love them! Women that is!

Statistically, an average lady will aim to have a new pair of womens shoes every 3-6 months. Compare this with the average man and it’s not difficult to see that this is extreme. Okay, so a typical women’s shoe with a heel may wear out quicker than sturdy flat options, but I think woman should not be wearing heels all day every day anyway. High heels are extremely bad for the feet in the long term and can lead to all sorts of foot related problems later on in life, but you can’t tell them anything!

We all like our girls to look like women and women’s shoes are part of the female identity, but come on girls, give the purse strings a break and have less quantity and more quality in your collection. And STOP changing your minds so often and stick with a style and design that suits you. I have an Italian hand made pair of mans dress shoes that are still going strong some 16 years later. Timeless, comfortable, supportive quality, that keep my feet protected as a shoe should do. What does that tell you gals about me?

Why Every Woman Must Have At Least One Pair Of Black High Heel Shoes In Their Wardrobe

Filed under: High Heels — Admin @ 3:36 am

There are some fashion items that are must haves for everyone. Just like a man needs to have at the very least a pair of black shoes and a pair of brown shoes, every woman needs to own a pair of black high heel shoes. These shoes can be interchanged with so many different elements in your wardrobe that it is essential to have them. Most women I know have numerous pairs of high heel shoes in many different colors that are to be worn with certain out fits but the great thing about black is that it goes with so many different things and they aren’t seasonal either.

Not only can black high heel shoes be worn with evening wear and business suits or dresses but they also go great with a pair of jeans. One of the big benefits of these shoes is that they can be used to bring together a great formal look or even dress up a pair of jeans. Wearing jeans, with a plain white shirt and black high heels is a very sexy look and it is very inexpensive. You can have the entire outfit for under a hundred bucks!

Unlike some fad colors like silver, gold, etc black will never go out of style. With many other shoe styles and colors you will find that they simply go out of style in many cases after only a season. For this reason you can feel comfortable investing more on black high heels because they will never go out of style, therefore you can keep them for years. I wouldn’t recommend spending a lot of money on the fad colors and styles because they may only be in style a few months and then you never wear them again.

It is also highly recommended that you have two or three different pairs. Maybe you want to have a lower and wider heel for work and then a taller stiletto heel for going out. These as I said before look very sexy with a pair of jeans or a short skirt. You also may want a pair that are more open maybe for a more formal look. You also may want to look at different shades and finishes of black that give you different looks. Black is one color that you simply can not be without and needs to be included in every woman’s wardrobe. It doesn’t matter what kind of event you are attending, whether going to work or a night out you just can’t go wrong with black high heels. Get on the internet and you can shop for them without even leaving your house and you will have access to shoes from all over the world.

What Is A Casual Shoe To A Woman?

Filed under: High Heels — Admin @ 9:19 pm

For most of us guys a casual shoe would be like a boat shoe, sneakers, or even flip flops! A lot of women share our same thought as well believe it or not. There isn’t anything wrong with wearing sneakers, but what we are looking at here is a step up, not quite dressy for a lavish dinner and a night on the town but comfortable for dinner and a movie.

You see where men would just categorize the tennis shoes, boat shoes, and flip flops all into one women ten to place sub categories so we are looking for a nicer, “semi-dressy” casual shoe or even a designer casual shoe. By going just a step higher in style you get a much dressier look even if you are wearing the casual shoe with jeans and a t-shirt.

It makes a woman feel better, more confident, and prettier to be seen in a nice pair of designer casual shoes than in just run of the mill sneakers or flip flops. It is rare these days to see a woman out and about in a pair of uncomfortable stiff dress shoes. I usually see women of all ages now wearing designer casual shoes with everything from jeans to semi dressy outfits. I think a large part of this is due to comfort.

Within the casual shoe genre you also have some sub categories available. One can choose a shoe with a high heel, a medium heel, or a low heel and can also choose wide or narrow heels. The wide, higher heel is really in at the moment. So, for those of you live in jeans, there are almost unlimited women’s’ casual shoe options, the choices are virtually endless, and the options available can be fun and exciting to look at.

Don’t wear high heels with jeans, leave those foot killers in the closet and choose a cool pair of designer casual shoes instead, your feet will thank you for it. If you are wearing longer pants pick a pair of casual shoes with a smaller heel. If you are wearing pants or jeans that are average length or even a little short maybe, wear casual shoes with a very small heel or even no heel.

The whole idea here is to be casual without looking sloppy which is very easy to accomplish if you make the right choices. Just follow the guidelines we have listed here and get online and shop. You will find a huge assortment of all the latest styles, colors and sizes that can be delivered right to your door and you never have to leave the house!

Why High Heels Are Bad For Your Health

Filed under: High Heels — Admin @ 2:42 pm

What do toe pain, mid foot pain, heel pain, ankle pain, knee pain, hip pain, lower back pain, mid back pain, upper back pain, and headaches all have in common?

You guessed it - they can all be caused by wearing high heels on a regular basis.

When my wife and I walk around a mall, I almost always get an itch to go around and break the heels off of every high heel in sight. This neurosis of mine is the result of having treated numerous women over the years whose aches and pains have been directly caused by wearing high heels on a regular basis.

Each of your feet is made up of 26 major bones, 33 joints, 107 ligaments, and 19 muscles and tendons. Leonardo Da Vinci was right on when he called the human foot “a masterpiece of engineering and a work of art.”

Your feet are designed to provide you with balance and strength as you walk or run over many different types of terrain. Here are some more fun facts about your feet:

* Your two feet strike the ground an average of 1,800 times over the course of walking one mile.

* The average person walks around 5 miles per day, translating to 8,000 to 10,000 steps per day.

* When you walk, your feet bear the force of one and one-half times your body weight. When you run, this force increases to three to four times your body weight.

With so much demand on your feet just to get through an average day, it doesn’t take Mr. Trump’s next apprentice to realize how important it is to wear comfortable shoes. Even with super comfy running shoes on, your feet have tremendous strain on them throughout the day. Can you imagine the burden they face when your entire weight and more is crushing down on the base of your toes rather than being evenly distributed to all 26 bones of each foot?

Wearing high heels creates faulty biomechanics and unnecessary stress on your ankles, knees, pelvis, and potentially throughout your entire spine. This is because your body, from feet to head, is one long chain of gears, where the happy functioning of each gear depends on the happy functioning of every other gear. If the joints of your feet don’t work properly because of the strain of wearing high heels, you can bet your life savings that other areas of your body are forced to compensate and suffer extra wear and tear. In some cases, the compensatory changes that result from wearing heels can cause the muscles behind your neck to be stiff, putting pressure on nerves that can result in chronic headaches. As Socrates once said, “when your feet hurt, you hurt all over.”

Women have approximately four times as many foot problems as men. Wearing high heels is undoubtedly a major reason for this.

Enough of the facts. Let’s get on to some suggestions on how to properly take care of your feet:

1. Strive to never wear high heels.

2. When you go shopping for shoes, do it in the afternoon or evening, as feet tend to get a little bigger throughout the day because of fluid accumulation. You want your shoes to be able to comfortably house your feet when they are at their biggest.

3. Measure your feet each time you buy shoes. And be sure to measure them while you are standing. Don’t forget to wear the thickest socks that you would normally wear.

4. Try shoes on both of your feet, as one foot may be larger than the other.

5. If you’re not already there, strive to be lean and mean for your body type. Being overweight means extra stress for your feet, not to mention the joints of your legs and spine. Have you ever felt the weight of a 10-pound bag of potatoes? This is the extra stress that your feet feel all day long if you are 10 pounds overweight.

6. Eat whole, unprocessed foods that will keep your blood vessels and circulation strong, as the health of the tissues in your feet are largely dependent on how efficiently they receive nutrients and have waste products shuttled away. The two worst foods for your circulation are hydrogenated oils and sugar. Try to stay away from them completely.

Foot Fetish! Why Some Men Find Boots and Shoes So Erotic

Filed under: High Heels — Admin @ 3:10 pm

While not everyone likes feet, some men find them highly erotic to touch, lick, stroke, and look at. Is there something wrong with them?

Absolutely not.

The treasured foot

The foot represents another erogenous zone for the foot fetishist. Just like the breast or the penis, the foot is a piece of art on the body. It has curves and delicate zones. It can respond to hard and soft caresses, while also remaining hidden much of the time.

A foot fetishist noticed the curve of the ankle into the heel, the arch of the foot as it sits in a high heel, and the perfect alignment of toenails.

And he or she wants to worship those areas like any other erotic zone.

Just like you would see a bra or a corset on a woman’s body, foot worshippers like to see feet with open toes and lots of straps. Platforms make the feet just out of reach, and all the more alluring.

Pedicures and perfumed feet are just other ways to make a foot fetishist weak in the knees.

But some foot fetishists like the natural smells and scents of the foot. And that is as erotic to them as the musky scents of sex from the genitals.

Symbolic feet

And it’s not just the physical appearance that gets many foot fetishists going. Feet also have the subtle reference to servitude and submission. The appearance of a high heel can send the fetishist into erotic fury because of the implications of having to submit to someone else’s will and desire.

The clacking of heels always used to tell you when the teacher was coming back to the room. With a blindfold on, the heels tell the tale of a mistress coming back to her ‘slave.’

Feet in high heels imply power over the man. A woman who wears platform boots is in control of the man’s desires because he wants to touch the feet so badly. But she keeps them hidden until the man submits to her whims.

Play time

The feet can be caressed and fondled just as any other erogenous zone. Some men like to tickle and stimulate the feet with feathers to see the way they move and twist. Because the area is so sensitive, the person who is attached to the feet may find that what once caused laughter now caused desire.

A lot of men who like feet will suck on the toes individually in order to simulate oral sex. This can be highly erotic for the recipient as the sensitive areas between the feet can give both pleasure and also pain. Imagine trying hard not to laugh while someone licks and sucks on your toes, but at the same time, you feel the stirrings of an erotic lust.

It can be amazing.

Some foot fetishists like to incorporate the foot into intercourse. By using the toes or the point of a shoe to gently stimulate the penis and the scrotum, the fetishists can feel intense feelings of pleasure.

Some foot lovers can only experience orgasms when the foot is utilized in lovemaking.

And some guys even find the shoes themselves erotic and stimulating. They see erotic zones in each of the parts of the shoe, rather than the actual materials. The heel is erotic, the sole is erotic, and the point of the toe is erotic.

Decorations

To make the feet even more appealing, high heels are the most often requested shoe. Second to that is the platform heel that created a high arch in the foot and a sleeker line in the leg. And just like any other tease, the covering of the foot makes the man hungry to see what is underneath.

You might also want to dress up the lower leg with stockings or socks that highlight the object of his desire.

Foot fetishism is completely normal and healthy, so there’s no need to worry. Dress up your feet today if your man wants to celebrate the ten little toes.

And don’t forget the heels.
